Avro Heritage Museum
NOTE as the Museum is currently in the middle of a massive development all entry is controlled at the old airfield gates – use Postcode SK7 1QS for Satnav (In effect from April 2018) – almost opposite Budgens Shop. There is a new section of road inside the entrance that avoids the worst of the building site.
All visitors should check that they can enter the site with the Security Guards in the blue cabin in the above photo. From there just follow the brown signs. There is a sharp right for us where the Building Site traffic goes straight on and then just follow the old perimeter track round. Please adhere to the speed limits and please do not stop anywhere on the way round to the Museum.
Nearest Bus Stop:- 42B Manchester – Woodford. This bus stops opposite the Main entrance and also passes very close to Cheadle Hulme Train Station. (see Pedestrian Access below). As at 21/08/18 there is no Sunday service.

Poynton (PTY) Northern Rail (see Pedestrian Access below)
Unfortunately whilst building work is being undertaken on the site of the previous Woodford Aerodrome no pedestrians access is permitted
